SHARE’s Community Projects
Could you fund one of our projects or give your time to volunteer? Maybe you would like to take part, want more information or have a project idea you’d like to share with us.
SHARE Threads Kids Secondhand Costume Hire
SHARE hopes to open its children secondhand costume hire service ready for Halloween 2023. We’re just missing one things. Could you donate some time to repair costumes and keep them in tip top condition? Or would you like to be about to help parents and kids who are coming for a costume fitting? Please get in touch with Jess at SHARE.
SHARE How-to our Community Space For Hire
At SHARE we are tasked to help people to live in more self sufficient and sustainable ways. But we are far from experts at all the amazing things that can be done and so we have created SHARE How-to. A space where local people, groups and organisations can come to share their skills, experiences or knowledge about all things green.
SHARE Delivery Service to Homes or Hubs
SHARE is working towards providing a delivery service for SHARE products in 2024. But we don’t want to do this on our own. We think it’s important for Frome that we collaborate with other businesses who would benefit from delivering to customers, therefore reducing the number of delivery vehicles on the road and helping the environment.
SHARE Shelf Quarterly Retail Residencies
We count ourselves very lucky at SHARE to have a space on Fromes busy high street. We realise that there are lots of local makers out there who don’t have this luxury. So we would like to offer makers who sell sustainable, recycled / up-cycled or second-hand products an opportunity to sell their things via SHARE Shelf at SHARE.
#LoveFromeLibraries Library Collaboration
Libraries are thriving in Frome and SHARE is working closely with the Frome Library, Frome Toy Library (run by Purple Elephant) and Frome Seed Library to make sure that we all support each other in any way that we can. Keep an eye on our events page, blog and newsletter to find out more about the things we’re doing together
Precious Creations & Upcycled Family Treasures
We’d love you to SHARE stories with us about your making, up cycling and repair wizardry. Have you crafted amazing things from secondhand materials or up-cycled a precious family heirloom to make it current and cool? Your stories will help us inspire others to do the same so they buy less, reduce waste and help the planet. You can share your stories and images here.
Working with other UK Library of Things
SHARE Frome is very lucky to be in contact with lots of other Libraries of Things all across the UK and even some in America. We have regular meet us with Libraries from the South West of England and we also support new libraries that are opening through sharing advice and documents that could be of use to them.
SHARE Frome and the Frome Rotary
SHARE was invited to Frome Rotary in February 2023. We told them about what we do and our plans for the future. We agreed we’d work with the Rotary Charity shop to support each other through sharing donations and ideas and encouraging people to use both services. By ‘giving local’ your donations stay local meaning help for more local people.
SHARE How-to in Frome Schools
SHARE’s charitable purpose is to educate people living in Frome and surrounding areas to live more self-sufficient and sustainable lives. We’re looking forward to meeting Frome College Eco Club in April and hope to team up with other groups to bring sustainability, kindness and well-being to all schools in and around Frome.

We’d like to keep our events affordable, relying on donations to help them continue. If you’re able to offer help in any way at all, please get in touch or donate using this link, many thanks!
