SHARE has long been a unique and ever evolving part of Fromes community. We have an amazing support network of loyal supporters and valued customers. We have thought carefully about how we grow SHARE to become more than just a Library of Things that will also provide useful and nurturing services to those around us. We hope you find something you love.

Kids Secondhand Costume Hire

SHARE hopes to open its children secondhand costume hire service on 1st July 2023. Could you donate unwanted costumes, volunteer your time to repair costumes and organise fittings or fund the cost of materials to help keep our costumes in tip top condition. Or could you WOW our little customers by painting a giant mural for them in our shop stairwell?

SHARE How-to

Community Space For Hire

At SHARE we are tasked to help people to live in more self sufficient and sustainable ways. But we are far from experts at all the amazing things that can be done and so we have created SHARE How-to. A space where local people, groups and organisations can come to share their skills, experiences or knowledge about all things green.

SHARE Shelf

Quarterly Retail Residencies

We count ourselves very lucky at SHARE to have a space on Fromes busy high street. We realise that there are lots of local makers out there who don’t have this luxury. So we would like to offer makers who sell sustainable, recycled / up-cycled or second-hand products an opportunity to sell their things via SHARE Shelf at SHARE.

SHARE Pick-Up & Delivery

For Library Borrowing & Donations

SHARE is working towards providing a delivery service for SHARE products in future. But we don’t want to do this on our own. We think it’s important for Frome that we collaborate with other businesses who would benefit from delivering to customers, therefore reducing the number of delivery vehicles on the road and helping the environment.

SHARE Workshops

Learning & Sharing Skills & Up-cycling & Repurposing

SHARE recently applied for funding to start regular monthly workshops in our own space (SHARE How-to) and in other spaces around Frome. Some will teach methods for reuse and up-cycling of things you have at home. Others will focus on sharing and learning digital, practical, work and life skills. All will help with self sufficient and sustainable living.

SHARE How-to Repair & Skill Share Workshops

We’d like to keep our events affordable, relying on donations to help them continue. If you’re able to offer help in any way at all, please get in touch or donate using this link, many thanks!

We’re always on the hunt for volunteer fixers, repairers and up-cyclers. Have you got what it takes to unpick, deconstruct, repair or upcycle in a busy social event environment?
