SHARE Forum – Help shape the future
Tuesday 28 March, 7 – 9pm
Venue: Room 1, Cheese & Grain, Market Yard, Frome BA11 1BE
Free, everyone welcome
SHARE is now nearly two years old, and the project is continuing to grow. We have signed up more than 700 members, we have more than 1,000 items of stock and our repair sessions have given hundreds of kgs of stuff new life. So far, we have been lucky to win grants and public funding to support what we do. However, this funding is coming to an end and we need to look for ways to be financially sustainable. We would like our members – and anyone who supports the project – to be part of the discussion about how we do this. If you would like to join us, come along to the SHARE Forum.
What will we be discussing?
- Monthly memberships
- new items
- workshops and events
- extra services
There will be opportunities to discuss any other ideas you want to raise, but we cannot guarantee there will be time to cover everything in depth, as it will depend on the number of people attending.
General household items
Saturday 25th March, 10.30 – 12.30
Join us to learn how to diagnose problems and sort out fixes for your household items – anything electrical and non-electrical. We can’t guarantee it will get fixed, as you may need new parts or it may be un-repairable – but it is always worth a try.
Mending & Upcycling Textiles
Saturday 15th April 10.30-12.30
Learn the art of visible mending – repair and darn your clothing and textiles, using hand and machine stitching.
Bring your clean jumpers, jeans or shirts needing patching, darning or fixing: Aliss will show you techniques to help you reconstruct your items
