b9031b3d-2e30-4c55-b360-a4090113c56f_661x800Sustainable Frome has been hiring out the press for four years and raising money through the hire charge to replace parts (or the press) when it ultimately wears out. It is managed by volunteers, so its important that people borrowing the press clean it after use, collect it from the previous hirer and make sure that the next person hiring it can collect from you* (or if no-one is hiring it, then it is their responsibility to return it to the Sustainable Frome Apple Group)

How does it work?

The cost is £12 per hire period, for the press and scratter.

The hire period is either Monday to Friday or a weekend (Friday evening to Sunday evening)

How can I book?

Email helenjohnstone@yahoo.com with your preferred dates and she will let you know if/when its available. When you have chosen a slot, you will be ‘pencilled in’ until the fee has been paid.

A cheque for £12 payable to Sustainable Frome can be dropped into SHARE during opening times or delivered to Helen. Please put your name and contact details with the payment.

When can I collect the Press?

When your booking is secured, Helen will pass on to you the contact details of the person who has it. You should then arrange to collect it from them* at a mutually convenient time.

What do I do when I have finished with it?

At the end of your hire period, you either return it to Sustainable Frome or make arrangements for the next person hiring it to collect it from you*

*This system works for people living in Frome or nearby. If you live some distance away, you will be asked to do the collecting and returning to Frome.
